We are proud to announce the addition of Katlyn Agosta to our clinical care team.
Katlyn is a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist and nurse practitioner who has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since 2002. She is currently rocking an automated insulin delivery system and has years of personal and professional experience with a variety of diabetes management approaches.
Katyln grew up in a large military family and was planning to join the Air Force… until her diagnosis. Inspired to become a nurse, she earned her bachelor’s in nursing from George Mason University in 2010, and went on to gain experience in public health, labor & delivery, and inpatient diabetes care. She became a board-certified nurse practitioner in 2020.
Katyln will be working with IDS clients on all aspects of diabetes care, with a focus on self-management training. “I love seeing people with diabetes becoming more confident and independent with their care,” says Katlyn. “That’s when the magic truly happens.”
Katlyn lives in the Tampa Bay, Florida area with her husband, Paul, and their two children. She enjoys reading, painting, and creating piñatas. She has a rescue dog named Flodi, and loves tending to her pet chickens.
Please join us in welcoming Katlyn to the team!
