Pump Donations Needed to Advance Open-Source Diabetes Technology

Insulin pump Donations

Donate Your Pump And Advance Open-Source Diabetes Technology!

by Kathryn Gentile-Alvarez, MS, ACSM-CEP, EIM II, CPT, CSNC, CDCES Director of Exercise Physiology, Teen/Young Adult Specialist

The upcoming Hack25 event is calling for insulin pump donations to help developers and researchers continue expanding open-source diabetes technology.

Specifically, we are seeking Mobi and Medtrum pumps for hands-on testing and protocol development.

These devices play a critical role in accessing more flexible, transparent, and potentially affordable solutions.

Every donated device helps developers better understand compatibility, communication protocols, and integration pathways for future open-source tools.

If you have a Mobi or Medtrum pump, or know someone who does, please consider contributing to this effort.

Your donation could directly help move open-source innovation forward for the diabetes community.

For more information or to coordinate a donation, please email Kathryn or reach out via the open-source diabetes community channels.

Together, we can help make diabetes technology more open and accessible for everyone.
