Type 1 Diabetes Participants Wanted for Menstrual Cycle Study

Women's health Month

If you’re a woman with type 1 diabetes, you may have noticed that the menstrual cycle can have a profound impact on blood sugar.

Yet, this is something that we have very little research on. Diabetes Center Berne and Tidepool are entering a partnership to explore the relationship between diabetes and women’s health.

The first initiative in this collaboration will focus on the menstrual cycle’s influence on insulin-dependent diabetes.

  • are living with type 1 diabetes
  • currently have a menstrual cycle
  • use a CGM and insulin pump or smart pen for most of your insulin delivery
  • are willing to share anonymized diabetes data and menstrual cycle data
  • are 18 years or older
  • are a resident of the United States
