IDS Monthly Survey: October 2024

LAST MONTH’S SURVEY QUESTION:

In last month’s edition of Diabetes Bites, we asked how you feel about JDRF changing its name to Breakthrough T1D.

  Here’s what you said:

6% Love it. The new name brings attention and reflects the good work the organization does.

25% I’m on the fence. Changing the name has both benefits and drawbacks.

57% I think it’s a mistake. JDRF has a long history, and name recognition is very valuable.

12% It really doesn’t matter. The organization, its mission and people are still the same.

Clearly, the people have spoken. Gary had a chance to sit down with the Breakthrough T1D’s Director of Marketing Strategy, who told him that the new name tested very favorably in their research. Time will tell. In the meantime, we will continue to volunteer and support the organization as much as possible.
