the trivia time winner

Last month we asked for the percentage of adults in the US who smoke cigarettes.

CONGRATS: Cora von Hampeln for being the first person with the correct answer!

ANSWER: 12.5%

This may sound like a lot of people, and it is, given how deadly cigarette smoking is.  But it’s nice to know that the prevalence of cigarette smoking has been declining steadily since reaching a peak of 42% in the mid-1960s.  This is especially good for those with diabetes, for whom heart disease remains the number one killer.

Nobody wants to experience severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), but it is good to know that newer, better treatments are now available.

What are the brand names of the FOUR commercially available home-use treatments for severe hypoglycemia?

*The first person with the correct answer wins complimentary tuition to the Type-1 University course of their choice!
