TRIVIA TIME!

Last month, we asked how many companies worldwide are now making insulin pumps.  For the first time in a long time, NOBODY got the correct answer!

ANSWER: There are currently NINE companies in the pump business:  Insulet (US), Medtronic (US), Microport (China), Roche (Switzerland), Sooil (Korea), Tandem (US), Triple Jump (Israel), Valeritas (US), and Ypsomed (Switzerland).  At least those are the ones we’re aware of.  Each has its own unique qualities, which is good because there is no one-size-fits-all pump.

NEW QUESTION:

diabetes questions

Missed boluses (mealtime insulin doses) can wreak havoc on a person’s glucose control.  According to data collected by the T1D Exchange, what percentage of insulin users report missing at least one bolus per week?
