CONGRATS: No Winner this month
=>Last month: We asked for the name of the first physician to profess the connection between glucose levels and the risk of long-term diabetes complications.

ANSWER: Dr. Elliot Joslin, MD.
We received dozens of responses ranging from Hippocrates to Dr. Richard Bernstein. Unfortunately, nobody provided the correct answer.
Dr. Joslin was the first to collect patient data and apply principles of epidemiology to conclude that diabetes complications could be delayed or prevented through tight glucose control. Dr. Joslin’s approach is still applied at the now world-famous Boston clinic that bears his name.
THIS MONTH’S NEW TRIVIA QUESTION:
These days, everything from cellphones to insulin pumps is getting more compact. But what about energy? The human body has a way of storing large amounts of sugar in a very tightly packed form.
What do we call the tight, dense form of glucose that is stored in the liver and muscles as a quick source of energy? (No, it is not “Fig Newtons”)
