LAST MONTH’S SURVEY QUESTION:

In last month’s edition of Diabetes Bites we asked for your preferred way to deliver the blood sugar-raising medication glucagon:

A. The current version that has to be constituted (mixed) and injected is fine
B. A premixed, ready-to-inject version
C. An inhaler that is placed in the nostril
D. It matters not.  I would never use it anyway

THIS MONTH’S NEW SURVEY QUESTION:

With pharmaceutical companies under fire for high prescription drug prices, we would like to know what you think about insulin companies charging $250-$300 for a vial of insulin: 

A. The high prices are necessary to maintain product quality and further research & development
B. Inflation explains some, but not all, of the price increases
C. It’s time for the government to underwrite part of the cost of insulin so that it is affordable for everyone
D. Insulin is necessary for survival! Pharmaceutical companies need to reduce the cost dramatically.
E. Too late for apologies. Big pharma execs should be rounded up and tried as criminals.
