In the May edition of Diabetes Bites, we asked about your experience with the adhesives used to keep pumps, infusion sets and sensors on your skin. Here’s how you replied:
37% No problem! They stick well and don’t cause me any irritation.
24% Pretty good. The devices only come off or cause irritation once in a while.
5% They’re too strong! It hurts to remove them.
34% Not good at all. I have to use extra tape or skin barriers all the time.
Clearly, there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to adhesives. We’ve come up with creative techniques and found some great products to solve just about any adhesive issue, so reach out if you find yourself in a sticky situation. (sorry… couldn’t help myself)
