Aretha Franklin knew what she was singing about. Last month’s article about customer service (or lack thereof) hit home for many of our readers. We were literally inundated with stories of customer service fiascos involving everything from medical care to the fast-food industry. Some were such dumpster fires that we decided to share them in a “dramatic reading” on our IDS Facebook, IDS Instagram, and IDS TikTok pages.

Find out what it means to me.  I take customer service very seriously. In this month’s edition of Diabetes Bites, you’ll see that we hired a new Customer Service Specialist to augment our office staff. But our focus on customer service doesn’t stop there. Our clients spend most of their time with our clinical staff, so we make sure you receive a high level of attention, courtesy, and yes, respect, from our clinicians as well.

Take care, TCB. I believe that quality diabetes care requires patience, understanding, and attention to detail. It also requires regular communication. Same-day and next-day responses are rare in healthcare. At IDS, they’re the norm. You deserve to have your questions answered and your concerns addressed in a timely manner. Every IDS clinician practices according to this principle, because we live with diabetes too and know what it’s like to be on your side of the desk, phone, computer, etc…

If you like the care you’ve received from IDS, I would love to hear about it. But more importantly, I want to know if there is ever anything you’re not happy with. Anything less than outstanding is simply not acceptable.

I hope you find this month’s edition of Diabetes Bites informative and entertaining. If you’d like to learn more about the latest in diabetes management, including personal perspectives from the various members of our staff, be sure to check out “Think Like A Pancreas: The Podcast” on your favorite podcast platform!

As always, please reach out if there is anything we can do to assist you with making diabetes management better and easier: call 610-642-6055 or send an email to info@integrateddiabetes.com.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll go listen to some more Aretha.
