It’s a new year, and we all know what that means. Time for a TOP-10 LIST! From the home office in Wynnewood, PA, here’s my list of top-10 new year’s resolutions for 2022. Perhaps some of these will inspire you. Or perhaps they’ll leave you shaking your head wondering, “what the *!%$&! Is he talking about!?” Nevertheless, here it is:

top 10 list

  1. Get involved with a political action group. I’ve always avoided politics, but if the last several years have taught me anything, it’s that really bad things can happen if you don’t stand up for what you believe in.
  2. Nix the noshing. Time I practice what I preach and cut out all the random snacking.
  3. Be a better delegator. I’ve discovered that there are people who are actually better at certain things than I am.
  4. Go clean(er) energy. Last year, I got my first hybrid automobile. This year, I’m finally going to look into solar for our home and a fully electric car. Also going to divert investments away from companies that pollute the environment. Should have done this long ago, but you can’t change the past.
  5. Savor sleep. The more I learn about sleep’s role in physical and mental health, the more I’m impressed. Sleep quality deserves everyone’s attention. I might even go for a sleep study this year.
  6. Flex some muscle. I’ve always been a bit of a workout addict, but strength training was always a secondary option. Time to make it a bigger part of my routine.
  7. Get taller, handsomer, and grow more hair. Just kidding – it’s important to accept ourselves for who we are. Keeping a sense of humor helps too.
  8. Spend less time staring at screens. It’s really not good for us… particularly our psyche. Need to spend more time doing things and less time watching things. Maybe I’ll pick up the ol’ guitar and learn some new songs.
  9. Own more experiences, less stuff. When it comes right down to it, possessions rarely make anyone happy. True happiness comes from helping others and sharing experiences with those we love.
  10. Ask for help. Trying to do everything for oneself isn’t macho… it’s stupid. Human beings like helping each other. Don’t deprive them of that pleasure.
