Who Am I To Judge?

Nobody likes to be judged, least of all people with diabetes.  What we do and why we do it are our own personal business.  Anyone who thinks they have a right to judge us for how we take care of ourselves needs to find another outlet for their evil energy. I’m far from perfect, but I try very hard to not judge my clients.  Same goes for everyone on the Integrated Diabetes Services team.  Instead of judging people, we get our jollies by judging PRODUCTS.  By comparing/contrasting the various diabetes management tools, we can provide you with the information you need to make your OWN best decisions. Case in point:  We just posted a set of pros/cons of the latest automated insulin delivery system, the iLet from Beta Bionics.  This is an objective comparison based on features that are meaningful to the people who use insulin pumps. I will also be posting a blog shortly on my experience wearing iLet for 14 days. Given our ability to evaluate everything objectively from both a personal and professional/clinical perspective, I think we have a right to judge products.  Correction… an OBLIGATION to judge products.  After all, people with diabetes deserve honest information and straight answers about devices that affect their health & survival.
