My take on the book: Unstoppable ME: A Type 1 Diabetes Guide and Journey Book for Young Adults, Tweens, and Anyone in Between by Echo Peyer and Featured Special Guest Voices
by IDS Director of Technology Innovations, Tavia Vital BSN, BA, RN, CDCES
This book is for anyone living with T1D who has ever felt alone in their journey.
Written by Echo Peyer, who has lived with T1D for over 38 years, this interactive book uses a light-hearted tone to tackle serious topics. Each chapter includes a warm intro that invites you to continue to read.
There are pro tips and spaces left for you to write notes or answer reflective questions that are designed to help you feel supported, educated, empowered, and fully ready to take on life with T1D. The guide includes a nice blend of instructions, definitions, and real-life stories from Echo and her four Special Guest Voices (i.e., authors).

On a personal note, I may be biased in saying I enjoyed reading Echo’s book.
It could possibly be because I am one of the Guest Voices in the book and helped make editing recommendations and provide activity ideas throughout.
Give her book a read and share it with someone else who may need encouragement that they are more than their T1D diagnosis or who may be feeling isolated with their T1D Pet Monster!
Send me a message once you´ve read it to let me know what you think of her creative journey book.
