Bike the GAP!
Do you love to ride your bike? Announcing a 5-day bike ride for Type 1s from July 24th to July 28th, 2022 led by diabetes expert and T1D herself, Dr. Jody Stanislaw.
Enjoy breathtaking scenery as you experience the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) and the surrounding Laurel Highlands. You’ll ride the GAP trail from the Point in Pittsburgh, finishing in Cumberland, Maryland.
The path is the former Western Maryland Rail Line, which is now a crushed limestone, hard-packed/paved and entirely car-free trail. The ride is casual and go-at-your own pace, so you’ll be able to relax, take in the sights, and enjoy a fabulous vacation! The repurposed passageway is a nearly flat journey, thus is suitable for beginners and intermediate cyclists.
The average daily mileage is 32-40 miles, yet the SAG vehicle is always close at hand anytime you want to take a break.
What’s included: 5 days of cycling and 4 nights spent in inns and BnBs that are booked for you. SAG wagon support, plus the knowledge and expertise of 2 Wilderness Voyageurs Bike Tour guides and BG management support.
This is going to be a ride of a lifetime! Have questions? Send an email to info@drjodynd.com or just click here to book it now.
